#127

I can't believe how fast this year has gone. I moved to Chatham
a little over a year ago. It was a great move on my part, because
I am now closer to my family. Although Brittany and her family
live in London, so I am a little farther from them now, then when
I lived in Sarnia. There are 2 things I miss about Sarnia, the first and
and most important is I miss seeing Owen everyday and 2ndly
is the waterfront and all that that entails. Like sitting on a bench in
the cool breeze with some french fries, a walk in Canatara Park,
the Animal Farm. But other than the Owen thing, I am glad I made
the move.
This summer is going to be busy. And I am going to California in July. .

Well I don't have much more to say. So I will post some pictures

This was taken in Feb. in Erieau

A flower in the garden and a rabbit in the yard.

Have a good day.

Chatham Living

Life is sweet. I am loving living in Chatham.

The only thing that I don’t really like is that there are very few photo opportunities here. In Sarnia there is the waterfront, Canatara Park, the animal farm, and several conservation areas. Here there is a much smaller park, no waterfront unless I drive 30 minutes away. There is an old downtown with old buildings and a cemetery that has old buildings and an older bridge.

Owen celebrated his 18th birthday on the 4th. Wow my baby is a man now.

Oct. 16, 2009 (40a)

We are still waiting for the baby. The due date is Sat.

I took all the above pictures on Oct. 16 on the way to Sarnia.

Getting Caught Up

It's been a long time since I posted last, I have been very busy. I have moved from Sarnia to Chatham. I have started at a different store, same company just in a different city. Last week I went to Vancouver, Washington, to see friends and do some church things. I had a wonderful time, I got to spend time with my friends and get to know some people better. I also enjoyed a day trip up along the Oregon Coast. The plane rides both ways went well also. As much as I enjoyed going away I was glad to get home. My nephew Logan is staying with us for a week. My car had another flat tire, hopefully it can be repaired so I don't have to buy a new one.

I haven't taken many pictures lately, hopefully that will change very soon.

This and That

Well its been a few weeks since I blogged last. Not to much has happened lately.

Today I decided to go to Port Huron to get a couple of things. There was no wait time to get into the states, but on the way back the line up started almost as soon as I got on the bridge. It took over a half hour to get up to the booth. But all went well. I bought some food products that you can't get here and some new clothes for me and a new purse. I know what the girls will say, "another purse".

The Bluewater Bridge.

As you can see I live only about 5 minutes from the border

It took nearly 2 weeks to get over my cough, it ended up being a bacterial infection and needed some medicine. So many people have gotten it, even after all this time my ears are still plugged.

We are having lots of renovations done on the house. Including having a trench dug out around the front and side of the house. This is to fix a leak in the basement, and they found out that some of the tiles are broken. I bet when the renovations are all done it will be $20,000. But our realtor says we will get it all back when we sell it. Hopefully it will be on the market by the end of the month, as of right now there aren't many houses for sale in our subdivision. So we will see what happens.

Owen worked tonight, he is starting to make friends there, he seems to like working there. He is also on the rugby team at school. He got hurt last week, but that doesn't stop him from playing. His first game is on Tues.
I bought a water cooler this week. I have been hearing all about how all of those water bottles are bad for the environment. You can read about that here.

The finale for The Biggest Loser is on Tues. There is a vote for the third contestant on Tues show, the vote is between Mark and Roger. Marks continus crying was getting annoying. don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with a man crying. But he cried over everything. He cried more than any of the woman. I am so glad that Kelly and Ali are the top 2 finalists. I'm not sure who I want to win the vote because there are things about both of them that I don't like and that I do like.

Well that's all for today.

A couple of random pictures I took.

The first one is taken at the cottage we stayed at last summer. It looks onto Lake Pigeon.

This one was taken a couple of years ago, this was taken in Sarnia.

Being Sick, Donny & Marie & Pomegranate's

I have not been feeling well the last couple of days. Mostly with a sore throat and a bit of a cough, a sore throat is the one thing that I have a hard time with. I haven't found anything that will take the pain away for a sore throat, so there is no relief from the pain. But I will get over it. I missed going to church yesterday because of it. I live in Sarnia and my church is in Chatham which is an hour away, not feeling well I just knew I couldn't make that drive twice. Most of the time the drive is no problem but when I am not feeling well I find it a very long drive.

One thing I discovered over the weekend was that some pictures that I took at Amberley's in the summer time were somehow deleted from my computer, and of course I didn't have them backed up. I was going to enlarge a couple of them for my house. I have learned my lesson, back up, back up, back up. They were beautiful pictures of her garden I was very proud of those pictures. Oh well such is life.

I watched the Oprah show on Friday, the one with all the Osmonds it was a nice show. I couldn't imagine being part of such a huge family, I couldn't imagine being an only child either. I have 2 brother's and 1 sister I cherish my siblings and I know if I ever needed them for anything they would be here in a minute. Anyway to get back on the subject, I was very touched by the enormous love they have for one another and how strong their faith is. When I was a teenager I had poster's of Donny hanging in my bedroom and I used to watch "The Donny & Marie Show" faithfully every week. And I am hoping Marie goes to the end on "Dancing With The Stars" It's just nice to see celebrities who haven't done the drug scene.
I am not a huge fan of Oprah's show, but I do watch it once in awhile. Today Celine Dion was on, again not really a fan per say but I do like some of her songs and she is Canadian. I must say she looked very pretty today and I like her new song "Taking Chances"

Tonight I was blog browsing and I saw some very nice ones. I decided to have some of my pomegranate and some water. Whenever I have a pomegranate it seems to remind me of Biblical times. I don't know why it just seems like a Bible type of food. Because it was after midnight I only allowed myself to have fruit and water, that is my new rule. I am trying to eat healthier and not eating is even healthier at night, but when I just feel like I need something to munch on I feel that fruit is better than cookies or chips.

These pictures of the sunset where taken in front of my house in October. They are all from the same night. These are the true colours they have not been edited at all. Isn't the sky beautiful, like a painting.

Well I better go, I hope you have a great Tues.
