Getting Caught Up

It's been a long time since I posted last, I have been very busy. I have moved from Sarnia to Chatham. I have started at a different store, same company just in a different city. Last week I went to Vancouver, Washington, to see friends and do some church things. I had a wonderful time, I got to spend time with my friends and get to know some people better. I also enjoyed a day trip up along the Oregon Coast. The plane rides both ways went well also. As much as I enjoyed going away I was glad to get home. My nephew Logan is staying with us for a week. My car had another flat tire, hopefully it can be repaired so I don't have to buy a new one.

I haven't taken many pictures lately, hopefully that will change very soon.

2005 - Bobcaygeon

Fenelon Falls

A Heron in a boat

Pidgon Lake

We often went on vacation to Bobcaygeon. We stayed at The Lone Maple Cottages, which is on Pigeon Lake. Fenelen Falls is a little town about 20 minutes away. A very beautiful area.

California Dreaming

I went to California in 2003 and while there I was able to go to the famous San Diego Zoo. It was a beautiful day. The lineup to see the panda's was very long and you didn't get to just stand there and watch them, you had to start at one end and keep walking to the other end. It was a good thing.

Family & Nights In Rodanthe

You will need this

if you go to see this

I saw this movie on Tues. night with my friends from work. I enjoyed it, It was funny and dramatic, with a totally surprising ending. Diane Lane and Richard Gere are really good in this movie. I have only seen a couple of Gere movies "An Officer And A Gentleman" and "The Gigolo" (I think that's what it was called) anyway these movies were made when he was much younger. I think he is cuter now that he is older. It is defiantly a chic flic, and there was very little swearing.

A couple of Sundays ago I went to Michigan to visit my aunt and uncle, my dad's sister. We had a lovely visit. They both looked wonderful and they couldn't have been nicer. I went with my sister and my mom, and my brother Mike was the driver. When Cathy and I were teenagers we stayed at their house for a week for a couple of summers and they were always nice to us. This was the first time I had Vernors, now whenever I have it I think of that time. Back then they had a pond in their backyard (way before they became so popular) and they still have it. I think it is bigger now, and there is a lot of koi and goldfish in it. I am very glad we made the trip, I think it meant just as much to them as to me (us).

This and That

Well its been a few weeks since I blogged last. Not to much has happened lately.

Today I decided to go to Port Huron to get a couple of things. There was no wait time to get into the states, but on the way back the line up started almost as soon as I got on the bridge. It took over a half hour to get up to the booth. But all went well. I bought some food products that you can't get here and some new clothes for me and a new purse. I know what the girls will say, "another purse".

The Bluewater Bridge.

As you can see I live only about 5 minutes from the border

It took nearly 2 weeks to get over my cough, it ended up being a bacterial infection and needed some medicine. So many people have gotten it, even after all this time my ears are still plugged.

We are having lots of renovations done on the house. Including having a trench dug out around the front and side of the house. This is to fix a leak in the basement, and they found out that some of the tiles are broken. I bet when the renovations are all done it will be $20,000. But our realtor says we will get it all back when we sell it. Hopefully it will be on the market by the end of the month, as of right now there aren't many houses for sale in our subdivision. So we will see what happens.

Owen worked tonight, he is starting to make friends there, he seems to like working there. He is also on the rugby team at school. He got hurt last week, but that doesn't stop him from playing. His first game is on Tues.
I bought a water cooler this week. I have been hearing all about how all of those water bottles are bad for the environment. You can read about that here.

The finale for The Biggest Loser is on Tues. There is a vote for the third contestant on Tues show, the vote is between Mark and Roger. Marks continus crying was getting annoying. don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with a man crying. But he cried over everything. He cried more than any of the woman. I am so glad that Kelly and Ali are the top 2 finalists. I'm not sure who I want to win the vote because there are things about both of them that I don't like and that I do like.

Well that's all for today.

A couple of random pictures I took.

The first one is taken at the cottage we stayed at last summer. It looks onto Lake Pigeon.

This one was taken a couple of years ago, this was taken in Sarnia.
