My Family And Some Photo Memes

Owen is coming to Chatham today I can’t wait to see him. He is going to help us change the livingroom furniture around and get the Christmas decorations down from the attic. Wow can you believe it’s that time of year again. It’s exciting, I love Christmas. I am loving living in Chatham (except for the part about not seeing Owen everyday), I love life and I love my Saviour whose birth we celebrate at Christmastime.

Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Amberley & Brittany both had to go to the hospital this past week. One to emergency for an infection the other for a bunch of tests. Even though they are grown ups and have families of their own I just hate to see them suffering. I just love them so much I still want to protect them from harm and sadness, once a mom always a mom.

Sydney is beautiful, and thriving. Having a girl in the family means pink and dolls, frills and tea parties. I am going to enjoy every step of the way while also enjoying the ruff and tumble of the boys, the trains, Superman, and Wolverineman and all the boy stuff. Isn’t it fun having little ones in your life.

This is my sister Cathy, holding her great niece Sydney with her great nephew Ethan close by, doesn’t he look happy.

This week I had Rain for 2 nights which was fun he is such a good boy and so smart. On the second day I had him, I picked up Ethan & Gavin took them to McDonalds for some ice cream and playtime in the play area, cousin time. Then we headed back home, and made supper for them after I made popcorn and put it in 3 individual popcorn bags for them and watched a movie together. After the movie Perry came to get Ethan & Gavin. What a wonderful time with those little guys. I am so blessed.

For some reason they decided to take their shirts off, such silly and cute little guys.

I am planning a cookie baking day for next month, with mom, Cathy & Penny. Hopefully we all have that day off and get lots of baking done.

Some memes for today.

Birthdays, Purchases and Christmas Crafts

Before Nov. ends I need to post November's birthday's:

Nov. 8 - Brittany my daughter

Owen's football team the St. Clair Colt's have finished their season, they had the best season in a long while. They won the semi-final game which was played at the University of Windsor, but they lost the final game which was played at Western University in London. I ordered the book "The Big Picture" by Stacey Julian. And I love it, it has some wonderful ideas that I am going to try to implement.

Also this week I purchased the John Berry Christmas album off of itunes. A couple of months ago I bought an itunes card at Wal-mart. So I thought I would finally use it, I was impressed by the whole process, this was the first time doing something like this. It was very cool. I am all for purchasing music legally.Yesterday I had my 3 grandson's here for a craft day. First we decorated sugar cookies and gingerbread man cookies. the boy's had so much fun. We had candies to decorate the cookies, I kept trying to tell the boy's that the candy was for decorating not for eating. And the cookies were full of candies, but oh they were so proud of them. They each decorated 4 cookies, they got to eat one when we were all finished then they took the other 3 home in a decorated bag. We then made a couple of crafts one of which was a present for their parents. All in all in was a fun day and one that I would like to make a holiday tradition.

Have a good day.

Family & Nights In Rodanthe

You will need this

if you go to see this

I saw this movie on Tues. night with my friends from work. I enjoyed it, It was funny and dramatic, with a totally surprising ending. Diane Lane and Richard Gere are really good in this movie. I have only seen a couple of Gere movies "An Officer And A Gentleman" and "The Gigolo" (I think that's what it was called) anyway these movies were made when he was much younger. I think he is cuter now that he is older. It is defiantly a chic flic, and there was very little swearing.

A couple of Sundays ago I went to Michigan to visit my aunt and uncle, my dad's sister. We had a lovely visit. They both looked wonderful and they couldn't have been nicer. I went with my sister and my mom, and my brother Mike was the driver. When Cathy and I were teenagers we stayed at their house for a week for a couple of summers and they were always nice to us. This was the first time I had Vernors, now whenever I have it I think of that time. Back then they had a pond in their backyard (way before they became so popular) and they still have it. I think it is bigger now, and there is a lot of koi and goldfish in it. I am very glad we made the trip, I think it meant just as much to them as to me (us).

Life

Life for me has been sad, busy, funny, & good.

Sad because one of my friends died suddenly a few weeks ago. But unfortunately she lived in California, so I couldn't go and pay my respects like I wished that I could of. She was such a nice person, had a nice smile, and a great laugh, and she loved the Lord.

Busy because of work and everyday life including errands.

Funny & good because of my grandchildren and Owen. Last night Owen took me out for supper, for no reason at all. He took me to East Side Marios. Not only was the meal delicious, but we had a real nice time and wonderful conversation. Thanks Owen you are the best son.

All in all life is great.

I saw several movies in the past couple of weeks. I saw several with Barbra Stanwyck and Henry Fonda. They are really wonderful actors, though I wouldn't put them on my list of favourites. But I do enjoy watching their movies.
One more week then vacation time, I cannot wait. Have a good weekend.

Here are some pictures from Boxing Day 2006

About Me

Here are some facts about me to get a good idea of what I am made of...

I have a strong belief in God with Him anything is possible.

I love my kids and I would die for them if it would save them.

I love my grandsons and would do the same for them.

I want to be a good, caring and loving mom and grandma.

I want to be a good person to all. And also want to have good thoughts about people no matter who they are but unfortunately this isn't always true.

I wish my mom lived closer to me.

Someday I want to move back to Chatham.

I am already praying for Owens mate as well as my grandson's mates.

I am enjoying being single and on my own for the first time. However I don't always like being one when surrounded by couples.

I am doing better at working 8 hour shifts than I thought I would be.

I watch too much TV.

I like cooking new recipes, but I don't always like to cook.

I am glad that my 2 daughters have found their soul mates. That is a wonderful blessing.

I am happy that my son lives with me.

My motto has always been "everything happens for a reason, there are no coincidences" ( I know its a cliche but I really believe this)

I want to take better pictures.

Someday I would like to go on a safari.

I have great siblings whom I love.

I have some questions for God that I would like to ask Him face to face. (I know how bold)

I am an American living in Canada. But will soon be getting my Canadian citizenship.

I am blessed beyond belief.

I love my nieces and nephews, they are all great people I am proud of all of them.

I love my dog and cats but I don't like the shedding hair on everything.

My favourite number is 6 and my favourite colour is blue, though I am really liking orange right now.

I only wish the best for my ex-husband and pray for his happiness and peace.

I want to loose weight.

I miss my dad terribly. He was such a wonderful dad.

Well this is a good start. I am sure as time goes by some things will change and some things will be added. I do know that when I got married 28 years ago I had different goals and wants than I do now, but my core beliefs are the same but so much stronger.

Rain, Owen, Logan and my Grandma

Well I had a wonderful time with Rain. He is so cute, and an added bonus was that I also saw my other 2 grandsons. It was great. But everytime they go home after I have had them for a couple of days I feel sad. I love them so much, when they go I always feel like I could of done more with them. When they are here I always try to plan an outing or do something special with them, but somehow when they are gone I think I should of done that or done this. I am sad because they are gone and also because maybe I missed out on something. I am so lucky to be a grandma, it is the best.

My
grandma
is my inspiration, she was a great lady. Respected and loved by all and her love for God and her family was everything I want to be. She would help anyone that needed it, she loved life and I think she especially liked being a grandma. She died in 1997 at the age of 82 (I think 82 or 83). She was also a great grandma several times over, and the ones that remember her, loved her. I think of her often now that I am a grandma. If I can only be half the grandma she was I would be happy.

Logan update - he might get out of the hospital on Wed. and the plastic surgeon does not think he has to have skin grafts. Praise the Lord. He is still in a lot of pain and has a ways to go, but he has come
a long way. He is hoping he will be well enough at the end of May to play soccer. Way to go Logan, we all love you.

Owen's rugby team went to Ohio this past weekend for a tournament. They played 4 games and won all 4. They have a huge trophy to show for it. But he also has something else to show for it a mohawk. Almost the whole team decided to get mohawks. Well it is different but its his hair.
I saw his game on Thurs. and they also won that game.

My site counter says that I have had over 1000 views on my blog that is so awesome. I do like having a blog. But for some reason no one leaves comments, but that is ok (not really...come on people leave a comment, I need to have comments, I love comments - get the picture - comments pleeeeeease) just kidding (or am I).

Have a good Monday everyone.
